- Hi Micheal
-
- I use a Warp engine 28mhz version(no 40 available) and it is great
- the SCSI is very fast and installation is quite easy.
- The only design flaw I would watch out for are that the SIMM
- sockets are plastic! This makes them very easy to break!
- especially when the SIMMS are a tight fit, tip here is to install
- all memory before fitting the WE to your Amiga.
- The WE has a good reputation for software compatibility and is well
- respected amongst Lightwave users. This last fact helped me make
- the decision to get one.
- The alternatives are the Apollo 4050 (german overclocked 040 cpu)
- And the Cyberstorm 060 which is 68060 based but no onboard SCSI
- it costs extra and there have been many comments on software
- and hardware conflicts with this board and hard to get!
-
- Hope this is of some help
